During the week of October 15, 2018, and on World Food Day, Bank Audi partnered with the Lebanese Food Bank (LFB), Teach for Lebanon (TFL) and Empowerment Through Integration (ETI) to raise awareness on the alarming issue of food waste.
The LFB’s mission is to fight and overcome hunger by developing effective feeding programs while developing awareness programs to eliminate hunger. Spring account holders were specifically trained on how to deliver a workshop that aims to inform about food wastage. They were encouraged to go back to their old schools or universities and raise awareness on this alarming issue.
In addition to the TFL fellows and ETI, Springers visited their schools and delivered relevant workshops and awareness sessions to students of Eastwood College, Montana International College, Sarafand Academy School, the Lebanese School for the Blind and Deaf, New Generation College, Lebanese Canadian Modern School, Laylaki Public School.
Around 600 Students got a feel of the issue and learned how to support this initiative. An overall of 10 sessions were taught all over Lebanon.
