What is a Safe Deposit Box?
It is a box located inside the branch's safety room where you can store valuables or commodities such as documents and jewelry. The room is protected against theft, fire, and other kinds of adversities.
How much is the rental fee of a Safe Deposit Box?
Annual rental fees vary between USD 300 and USD 2,500 depending on the box size.
Do I need to have a Bank Audi account to have a Safe Deposit Box?
Yes.
Can the lease contract of a Safe Deposit Box be issued in the name of more than one person?
No, but it may be linked to a joint account number as long as we determine one party and the other could be a delegate.
Do the Safe Deposit Boxes come in one size?
No, they are available in different sizes.
How many keys are needed to open a Safe Deposit Box?
Two keys:
- One key is available to you
- The “Master Key” is available at the branch
What if I lose the key?
The key will be changed in your presence, a branch network management officer and the maintenance supervisor. You must pay the expenses amounting to USD 200.
Can I open the Safe Deposit Box on my own?
No, you must be accompanied by a bank employee (holder of the master key) to the Safe Deposit Box room. Both keys are needed.
Can I visit the branch and check my Safe Deposit Box at any time?
You can only do so during working hours.
How do I get a Safe Deposit Box?
- You should visit a branch with Safe Deposit Boxes available
- You should pay the rental fee, sign the required documents and deposit a sum of money in a provision account (USD 200) to cover potential misuse of the box, loss of the key, etc.
- You'll receive 2 keys to be able to open the box whenever you want to check on your belongings
