Lebanese champion and national record-holder in long-distance running Pia Nehmeh broke the Lebanese 3000m national record by 7 seconds at the race organised at Beirut’s Sports City by the RRA Club on May 1st, 2012.

Pia’s new record of 10m19s, an achievement compared to her old record of 10m26s which had stood unbeaten since 2008, embodies her objective to perk her records up in the ultimate purpose of qualifying for the upcoming London Olympics, thanks to scrupulous training with a professional coaching team in the USA.
