As a crowning of its continuous commitment to serving the community, Bank Audi received the “Social Economic Award 2014” - ”Social Mainstreaming” category for its “Be a Hero For A Day” Volunteer Program.
To highlight the importance of CSR, many CSR practitioners, civic activists and government representatives gathered at the 4th annual SEA Award ceremony held at Casino Du Liban on November 29, 2014.
The Bank received the “Social Mainstreaming” award for involving its employees in its Community Development strategy and providing human support to the underprivileged.
A clip was first broadcasted and introduced the success story of the Bank’s Volunteer Program mirroring the embedded volunteerism culture and the fruitful partnerships with local NGOs. Afterward, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility Hasmig Khoury received the award stating that Bank Audi is keen on keeping abreast of Global Trends and adopting international standards such as GRI, ISO 26000 and UNGC. She encouraged all corporations to engage their employees in volunteerism.
The event honors leading institutions for developing concepts and products that promote environment preservation and sustainable development, preservation of national heritage, rural development, women and youth empowerment, human responsibility, public awareness, positive national image, social mainstreaming and innovation.
