In line with its Economic Development and Human Development pillars, Bank Audi was the first Lebanese bank to organize a one-week activity targeting high-school students who spent “A Day At Bank Audi” between March 10 and 13, 2015. This initiative falls under the Bank’s Financial Literacy Program for Youth and is part of the Global Money Week’s “Save today. Safe tomorrow!”.
Global Money Week is a worldwide celebration intended to empower the next generation of financial actors to be confident, responsible and skilled economic citizens. Every year, entire communities jointly take action to reshape the financial landscape, and give young people the tools and inspiration they need to shape their own future.
Global Money Week takes place every year during the second week of March. It is coordinated by the Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI) Secretariat, but the events themselves are organized by schools, universities, government ministries, central banks, financial institutions, members of the civil society and communities of active youth worldwide.
In light of the above, Bank Audi hosted more than 250 students from Beirut Evangelical School for Girls and Boys, Saints Coeurs Ain Najm, Al Makassed Ali Ben Abi Taleb College, Al Makassed Khaled Ben Al Waleed College, Dhour Chweir Public High School, and Ghobeiry Public High School for Girls. All students received Certificates of Participation.
The students attended presentations on Basic Banking Concepts delivered by Rania Ghanem, e-Payment Solutions & Card Services by Rana Karaki and Racha Younis, and Compliance by Aziza Noujaim. They also toured Bab Idriss Branch, the e-gallery and the e-Branch where they were hosted by Nicole Abboud, e-Payment Solutions & Card Services, Rabah Merheb and NOVO team respectively.
This initiative aimed at enhancing youth financial literacy by communicating with specific stakeholders and informing future customers on financial planning and management, savings and social inclusion.
Bank Audi‘s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Retail, Compliance and e-Payment Solutions & Card Services teams joined forces to orient future leaders towards a path to success.
