As we pursue our efforts towards building awareness on Corporate Social Responsibility and engaging the community, mainly students, in socially responsible practices, Bank Audi organized for the 3rd year in a row a CSR University Awareness session, titled” Responsible Millennials”, on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Bank’s headquarters.
This year, the session focused on Anti-Corruption, which is an important issue within our Corporate Governance pillar. 33 students attended the session where Mrs. Hasmig Khoury, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Bank Audi, gave an overview of CSR, a brief outline of the CSR strategy and recent developments at the Bank, and explained about Anti-Corruption Risks.
A competition was launched during the event, inviting students to suggest prospective feasible initiatives related to Anti-Corruption that Bank Audi could launch with regards to its social responsibility within its Corporate Governance.
Winners will be rewarded with financial prizes, and the first prize winner will be given an internship opportunity at Bank Audi, allowing them to implement their project.
To end, getting the youth to come up with initiatives that benefit the community and find solutions to resolve a social dilemma makes them realize that it is important to be socially responsible citizens supporting their community.
