Bank Audi announced its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and its full support to its Ten Principles in the fields of Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Fighting Corruption.
The Bank pledged to incorporate these principles in its business strategies and day-to-day operations. It will also communicate with its stakeholders all the efforts made to engage with the UNGC through the annual CSR Report.
The UNGC is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles. By doing so, business, as a primary driver of globalization, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere. It is the worlds’ largest policy with over 8,000 business and non-business participants from 135 countries.
In addition, Bank Audi adhered to the National Steering Committee which was founded in May 2015 and is headed by AUB. This committee is composed of Global Compact business leaders and other stakeholders. It promotes the discussion of the Governance Structure of the local network whose role is enhancing the learning experience of all participants through their own activities and events and promoting action in support of broader UN goals.
