As a leading institution, Bank Audi is committed to setting an example in society through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) role. Last year, the Bank took a major step and succeeded in becoming a smoke-free institution. In December 2010, Bank Audi reaffirmed its dedication to CSR with a new cause for the year 2011: the Conscientious Driver cause.

In collaboration with Kunhadi, a Lebanon-based NGO for youth awareness on road safety in Lebanon and the region, Bank Audi aims at promoting safer roads in Lebanon and encouraging responsible driving.

The Conscientious Driver campaign involves different activities (such as the Conscientious Driver Pledge Letter put at customers’ disposal at Bank Audi counters and encouraging responsible driving: wearing seatbelts, banning drinking and driving, respecting speed limits, road signs and traffic lights…) and targets different stakeholders: Bank Audi employees and customers, as well as the public at large.

The Conscientious Driver campaign was officially announced on December 18, 2010, during the Bank Audi free live awareness concert held at Music Hall (Downtown Beirut) and entitled “Songs for the Road”.

In opening, Mr. Marc Audi, General Manager – Bank Audi, warmly welcomed everyone. Introducing the concert’s theme, he highlighted Bank Audi’s commitment to having safer roads and more responsible driving in Lebanon as part of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign for 2011, in collaboration with Kunhadi.

Mr. Fadi Gebrane, President of Kunhadi, then thanked Bank Audi for its dedication to promoting conscientious driving in the hope of reducing traffic accidents and injuries.

The event gathered more than 500 Bank Audi colleagues, friends and relatives who filled the Music Hall to declaim their commitment to safer roads and responsible driving in Lebanon.

The concert featured Bank Audi music club’s very own Band Audi in their third performance since their resounding debut in June 2010. It also introduced Awdiyat, the band’s oriental ensemble, and the Bank Audi Children’s Choir, who all wore Santa hats for this festive season.
