In view of shedding the light on Lebanon’s new role as one of the major fashion centers in the world, Bank Audi sal - Audi Saradar Group has undertaken to support the fashion festival launched in collaboration with MasterCard Worldwide and Aïshti for the second year in a row. The “MasterCard Aïshti Fashion Experience”, which extends from September 15 to 19, consists in different fashion-related activities involving young Lebanese fashion designers and world-famous designers, as well as in the launch of the Aïshti Platinum MasterCard credit card.
The event was announced during a VIP lunch held at Bank Audi Plaza on September 15 in presence of H.E. Mr. Raymond Audi, Chairman and General Manager of Bank Audi sal - Audi Saradar Group, of Mrs. Randa Bdeir, Head of Electronic Banking and Cards Services at Bank Audi, of Mr. Tony Salameh, CEO of Aïshti, and of Mr. Basel Eltell, Vice President and Regional Manager, Levant, MasterCard Worldwide.
On this occasion, Mrs. Bdeir stated: “Our presence here today is the fruit of our conviction that Lebanon is a special country from all points of view, especially as regards hospitality, generosity, health, beauty, tourism, entertainment, civilisation, history, culture and arts. It is our faith in Lebanon that led us to initiate a strategy we entitled “خلّي لبنان يرجع يحكي” (“Let Lebanon have its say again”) and which has many ramifications. The first constituent of this project was launched by Bank Audi through the “خلّي الليرة ترجع تحكي” campaign which aims at promoting the use of the Lebanese Lira by highlighting the purchasing power it used to have during the country’s “days of glory” and expressing the hope of it recovering its strength in today’s economy. Today’s event and the launch of the new Aïshti Platinum MasterCard card are a forerunner of the next step we intend to take while introducing our next campaign, “خلّي الموضة ترجع تحكي” (“Let fashion have its say again”). We have indeed taken this initiative because we deeply believe that Beirut was and still is the capital of fashion in the Middle East, and that fashion-related events are essential in reviving it and putting it under the spotlight again so it can regain the excitement, energy and creativity it was long renowned for. This will also contribute to re-positioning Beirut as a link between the conservative East and the ambitious West which always longs for evolution and development.”
Mr. Salameh said: “Launching the Aïshti card only confirms the importance Aïshti and Bank Audi attach to their customers, which is obvious by the interest rates and new services we offer. This step also underlines our understanding of the market’s requirements and of customers’ needs which revolve around being up-to-date on new fashion trends and always being the first to buy and to wear the most beautiful and latest designer clothes. A live proof of that is one of the card’s major advantages which consists in allowing customers to pay for their purchases at Aïshti stores in several instalments at 0% interest over 3 months.”
As for Mr. Eltell, he emphasized that “MasterCard’s collaboration with Aïshti in launching this special card sheds the light on MasterCard’s dedication and potential to offer the best payment solutions designed to meet the needs of its members. We are convinced that this new card will offer its holders a number of privileges which match their way of life.”
Mrs. Bdeir added: “This card was specially designed for privileged customers who seek to buy refined quality items and who appreciate special treatment. Unlike other credit cards, the Aïshti card offers an array of advantages which meet these customers’ needs and match their sophisticated way of life. It also gives them access to a series of benefits every time they use it, whether at Aïshti stores or in other shops:
- Discounts up to 8% at Aïshti;
- Paying for their purchases in several instalments at 0% interest over 3 months;
- Accumulating more points via the AïPoints reward program which allows them to collect 5 points for every 10$ spent on the card at Aïshti stores, and 1 point for every 10$ spent on the card in any other store;
- Free trips to attend Europe’s different fashion shows;
- A free subscription to Aïshti Magazine;
- And many other special advantages.
