On April 10, 2016, 15 Bank Audi volunteers headed to Jezzine along with 35 individuals from Ayadina Association; an organization that provides care for children and the elderly.
The volunteers toured the village, savored meals, danced, laughed and enjoyed precious moments with their guests.
The elderly shared their wisdom through their life stories and overwhelming experiences. Some displayed their skills, with belly dancing and singing.
The beautiful nature of Jezzine made the day even more special, with a tour going from the waterfalls, an amazing view of the Jezzine pine forest and a special visit to the abandoned Serhal Castle.
At the end of the day, the senior citizens applauded our volunteers’ efforts and acknowledged in an interview that it is surely one of the best trips they’ve had for a very long time, and for some, it was even qualified as one of the best trips of their lives.
This positive feedback pushes the Volunteer Program to go further and keep growing while spreading love and happiness around those who need it most.
