Bank Audi’s Gift Card Vending Machine won the “Best Use of Innovative Technology” award at the annual MasterCard Innovation Forum which took place in Kuala Lumpur on September 30, 2015.
The event highlighted the best examples of industry leaders who continuously demonstrate an understanding of consumer needs, deliver highly impactful payment solutions, and ultimately drive business results though innovation.
The MasterCard Innovation Forum 2015 gathered over 500 participants from Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa, as well as speakers from MasterCard and industry experts who shed the light on the evolving needs of businesses and consumers, and showcased the latest innovations on the payments front.
Mrs. Randa Bdeir, Head of e-payment Solutions and Card Services at Bank Audi sal, stated on this occasion: “We take pride in our efforts to bring to Lebanon the latest technologies and the most innovative products and services. We are honoured to be the only bank to win this prize today.”
The Gift Card Vending Machine from Bank Audi, which was executed by Cleartag and Innovo, and is the first of its kind in the region, was developed to provide a quick and convenient solution for customers to personalize and instantly issue a prepaid gift card for any occasion (congrats, birthdays, weddings, newborns, Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc.). All they have to do is to choose the background and image they would like to feature on the card, write a special message, and print it on the spot, all within a couple of minutes! Last but not least, the machine is fully secured as it only accepts cards with CHIP and PIN in order to ensure optimal safety and security.
The “Cards to Go” Gift Card Vending Machine is installed at Novo Palladium Branch – Downtown, and will soon be installed in malls and universities as well, in order to give people the chance to design more creative cards and get to know prepaid cards better.
