Earth Hour is an international initiative organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It encourages individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their lights for one hour from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on a particular day. The movement originally started with Sydney’s 2007 lights-off event and has grown to engage more than 7000 cities and towns around the world.
Bank Audi partakes in this initiative on a yearly basis as part of its CSR initiative to save the environment; a mass email is usually sent prior to the darkening of all Bank Audi premises, which include Plaza, Palladium and the latest addition to the Bank’s assets; the M1 building.
Many Bank Audi colleagues displayed their commitment to a better environment by switching off their lights.
