For the second year in a row and as part of the international initiative Global Money Week, “Take Part, Save Smart!”, Bank Audi, in coordination with the Higher Council for Childhood (HCC) − Ministry of Social Affairs, hosted high-school students for “A Day at Bank Audi” over five consecutive days on March 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, 2016.

Global Money Week is an internationally recognized initiative by Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI) intended to empower the next generation of financial actors to be confident, responsible and skilled economic citizens.

This event takes place every year during the second week of March where schools, universities, government ministries, central banks, financial institutions, members of the civil society and communities of active youth worldwide organize activities to reshape the financial landscape and give young people the tools and inspiration they need to shape their own future.
More than 450 students from Sagesse and Al Makassed schools were invited to spend a day at Bank Audi; an initiative that goes in line with the Bank’s CSR strategy aspiring to enhance financial literacy through communication with specific stakeholders and empowering future generations by informing them on financial planning and management, savings, and general social inclusion.

Bank Audi’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Training & Development, Branch Network Management, Group Retail Banking, Retail, Compliance and EPCS (e-Payment solutions and Card Services) teams joined efforts to guide future leaders towards a successful path introducing them to the World of Banking (Bank Definition, Structure, Job Opportunities), Bank Audi at a Glance, the Bank’s Delivery Channels (Account Opening, Transactions, etc.), the Plastic Money & e-Payment Solutions (Cards and e-Payment Solutions: Differences and Features), the Bank’s Products and Services (Accounts, Services, Loans, Bancassurance with a Focus on the Importance of Savings), Compliance and Risks (Anti-Money Laundering, Combating the Financing of Terrorism and an Overview of Risks) and the Bank of the Future (where the banking industry is heading).

Finally, personalized certificates of participation were distributed and students had the chance to visit our Bab Idriss Branch, NOVO Branch and the e-Gallery to apply their newly-acquired knowledge.

This initiative aimed at providing students with the necessary knowledge that enables them to save money, plan for their future, understand the way a bank works and generally become financially more literate.
