My Carbon Footprint- Schools Step Up Their Environmental Game

Launched on January 26, 2016, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), “My Carbon Footprint” micro-site was presented to 2006 students aged 10 to 15 in 6 Sagesse schools and 6 Al Makassed schools in Beirut.

Mrs. Lea Kai Abou Jaoude, Manager at the UNDP Climate Change Office at the Ministry of Environment, explained all about climate change while raising awareness on the use of resources and their impact on the environment.

Mrs. Hasmig Khoury, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Bank Audi, presented the micro-site to the students and launched the competition, which will span four months.

522 users have already accessed the micro-site and 3,791 have viewed the page, which shows great promise when it comes to environmental awareness among youth.
