Inspiring ideas, motivating future generations
On November 28, 2015, for the second year in a row, the CSR Unit held an interactive University Awareness intiative leading to a competition at Bank Audi, aiming to encourage students to be creative and pitch a feasible CSR project that is aligned with the Bank’s CSR strategy.
9 students suggested inspiring ideas, 4 of which were shortlisted by an external 5-member CSR jury. The 4 candidates presented their projects to the Bank’s CSR Committee who chose the winners following presentations and live interviews.
The winning projects are:
- 1st prize winner: Malak Hashmieh’s (LIU) Amal; a program that finances startup companies or new businesses and helps create job opportunities especially for Lebanese youth.
- 2nd prize winner: Lara Macaron Sabbouri’s (LU) Guest-Speaker Program whereby employees volunteer to give a one-session business course to university students and explain how Bank Audi applies theoretical concepts in its daily activity.
- 3rd prize winner: Hind Chazbek’s (AUB) Eco-Friendly Car Loan which consists in encouraging people to buy and drive environmentally friendly cars by providing a green car loan at a rate lower than the regular one.
This initiative motivates youth to develop responsible thinking and take action to sustain the environment and positively influence their surroundings.
